Being a Professional Commercial Driver requires the driver to have a lot of Skill and Good Driving Sense!

1. Review the State CDL handbook for up-to-date changes in laws and rules.

2. Follow company safety policy and procedures. Protect yourself!

3. Do not become lackadaisical in your driving, driving awareness or skills!

4. Eyeball your turns, esp. sharp turns in all directions. As you know, while you are looking at your front end during a U-Turn, that backend swing may be clipping something.

5. Make sure you have a good place to park. Find a secure, good parking spot. Make sure you can easily get in and out, especially if you have any backing to do. Preferably not! Remember to get out and walk back there see for Yourself!
